The Dayze have been recording a series of tracks with Julian Tardo in Hove, and were recently interviewed about the sessions by Andy Morten for Shindig magazine. Their debut album will hopefully be released in Autumn. In advance of the album, Down By The Water will be released as a single in March. The band have recorded two versions of the song. The psych-rock mix features Lewis on vocals and Tris making a lot of strange noises, while the folk-rock version of Down By The Water features the amazing Emma V Morton (Sairie) on vocals. Both versions will be available as a limited lathe cut 7″ on Gardener’s Delight Records, and a digital release is also planned.
The band are looking forward to playing at their Psychedelic Equinox Sundae all-dayer in Brighton on 22nd March, especially as they have managed to get psych legends The Bevis Frond to headline the event.
